SELAH: The Psalms Project

Psalm 34:3 -- Come, let us worship the Lord together.

“Selah”. The word is spread throughout the Psalms and yet, interestingly, the literal meaning has been lost to us. Some believe it is merely a musical notation. Some believe it is a direction to pause and reflect what has been read. Others believe it is a signal for worshippers to shout their agreement with what has been said.

With those meanings in mind, Community Comics adopted that word for our group project, “SELAH: The Pslams Project”.

So, whether with a shout or with quiet reflection, we invite you to come and worship the Lord together.

For artists and creative types, we hope that you will join us in merging your art with worship. Oftentimes, art is a solo act, and this is a challenge to stretch your creative wings, join a collection of artists in worship, and let some of the greatest poetry in the world inspire you in that act of creation, art, and worship.
